LG has been rapidly ramping up its smartphone efforts and the latest from CES is the Optimus Black. Most of its specifications are pretty standard for a high-end device but it does come with a unique "NOVA display" (that's supposed to be the brightest mobile screen with "700 nits of brightness"). It will be available in the first half of 2011 with Android 2.2, but will enjoy an upgrade to 2.3 Gingerbread thereafter.
